Toronto, March 28, 2017 – Surrey Place Centre is pleased to “go blue” in honour of World Autism Awareness Day (WAAD) on Sunday April 2, 2017. WAAD was adopted by the United Nations in 2007 in order to help raise awareness for autism as a growing global health priority.
The “Light It Up Blue” campaign encourages individuals to wear blue in support of WAAD. It also sees iconic landmarks, skyscrapers, schools, businesses and homes across the globe unite by shinning bright blue lights. 2 Surrey Place will be decorated with blue spotlights in many areas around the building and banners advocating for autism support will also be on display at all our Surrey Place Centre offices.
Together, we can help raise awareness and increase understanding and acceptance of autism in our communities. To show your support and help raise awareness you can:
