Week-to-week, children will learn early social skills such as greetings, initiating play, language, imitation, requesting and responding to others, sharing and taking turns, and playing with friends. This program focuses on practicing and developing skills around social reciprocity, joining conversations and taking turns in conversations, staying on topic while chatting with peers, using phones and electronic communication, and noticing non-verbal communication. There is a special focus on age-appropriate skills such as identifying qualities of a good/bad friend, dealing with rejection, gossip, teasing and bullying.
