Below are resources to provide information for parents/caregivers of children who are deaf or hard of hearing.

Community Resources

There are many agencies that have information, resources and or services available for children who are deaf or hard of hearing. To learn more about any of these services please contact them for more information.

Assistance for Children with Severe Disabilities – A program that helps parents with some of the extra costs of caring for a child who has a disability.
Bob Rumball Centre for the Deaf – Supports the Deaf by providing funding for activities, services and support to further the quality of life of Deaf people in Ontario.
Canadian Academy of Audiology (CAA) – A professional organization that provides education to those with, or at risk for, hearing and/or vestibular disorders.
Canadian Hearing Society – A charitable agency and the leading provider of services, products and information which remove barriers to communication, advance hearing health, and promote equity for people who are culturally Deaf, oral deaf, deafened and hard of hearing.
College of Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists of Ontario – Regulate the professions of Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology and to protect the public interest. Find regulated Audiologist or Speech-Language Pathologist in Ontario.
Community Care Access Centre (CCAC) – Provides in home assistance from a personal care worker, nursing, speech therapy, occupational and physiotherapy. There are 14 local offices across Ontario call 416-310-2222 to find your local CCAC office (no area code is needed for this call).
Provincial & Demonstration School Branch – Oversees the policies and operations of schools for Deaf, blind, deafblind and or severely learning disabled students.
Holland Bloorview Kids Rehabilitation Hospital – Canada’s largest children’s rehabilitation teaching hospital.  It is fully affiliated with the University of Toronto.
EarlyON Child and Family Centres – Offers free drop-in programs for caregivers and children from birth to 6 years old.
Parent’s Advocacy in the School – Informs parents who have issues with schools about how they can use community groups and organizations in direct and meaningful ways, on behalf of their children with special needs.
Respite Services – Assists families of individual with disabilities to connect with respite options in and out of home.
Settlement – Provides information for those new to Ontario.
Silent Voice Canada – A not-for-profit charitable organization that offers community and family-based support to Deaf children in American Sign Language (ASL).
Speech-Language & Audiology Canada – A national organization which supports and represents speech-language pathologists, audiologists and communication health assistants inclusively.
Toronto Children’s Services – Provides information on child care services, family resource centres, and services for children with special needs.
VOICE for Hearing Impaired Children – Provides support to families who have children with hearing loss and are learning to hear, listen and speak with the aid of hearing technology.
