We walk alongside caregivers so little ones can learn, grow and meet their potential
When a child has a developmental disability, it’s important to establish nurturing routines as early as we can. By doing so, we can build confidence in your child—and you as a caregiver—which sets everyone up for success.
The Infant and Child Development Program offers home-based programming during your child’s critical early years. You’ll gain practical caregiving skills while supporting your child’s early development.
Support includes:
- 1-to-1 caregiver coaching
- Parent-child groups
- Caregiver training workshops
- Service coordination with other professionals
- Support during transitions to childcare or school
Who we support
The Infant and Child Development Program is for families in Toronto with children who:
- 0 – 6 yrs
- Suspected or confirmed diagnosis of developmental disability or at risk of delay (e.g., child with a history of seizure, stroke, prematurity, genetic and chromosomal syndromes, etc.)
- Must exhibit challenges in two (2) or more areas of development (e.g., motor skills, behaviour, communication, sensory, self-care/daily living, social skills)
- Living in Toronto
What to expect
When you join the program, you’ll be paired with a Developmental Consultant. They will work with you 1-to-1, building your capacity to support your child’s development.
