About Us
Learning is an ongoing pursuit at Surrey Place. We are committed to supporting service excellence and capacity building in the field of developmental disability and autism spectrum disorder. Learning at Surrey Place is centred on:
- A focus on Student Learning – Surrey Place offers interprofessional learning experiences to students in a wide variety of undergraduate and graduate academic programs
- A Focus on Medical Learning – Surrey Place is a fully affiliated teaching site of the University of Toronto and offers interprofessional learning to undergraduate, post-graduate trainees and medical residents
- A focus on Interprofessional Learning – Surrey Place is committed to an interdisciplinary approach to learning. Working with CAMH’s Dual Diagnosis Program, Surrey Place has been involved in the IPE Perspectives™ course. In this course, health sciences students have the opportunity to explore and understand the benefits of an interdisciplinary approach to providing care for people with developmental disabilities and Autism Spectrum Disorders
- A focus on Professional Development – Surrey Place is committed to enhancing internal and external capacity in the field of developmental disabilities by offering and pursuing innovative evidence based learning opportunities
