School Support Program
Training school boards and community organizations about autism

Since 2004, the School Support Program (SSP) has provided supports and services to local French and English school boards and their staff, and other local community organizations to increase their understanding of autism spectrum disorder (ASD) and evidence-based approaches such as applied behaviour analysis (ABA) that have proven to be beneficial.
Our services include a comprehensive range of capacity building through educational and training events, supporting the transition from treatment settings to full-time school settings (via the Connections for Students service), and targeted resource development that supports identified needs to enter into and succeed in a school or other setting. When not supporting school boards, we can offer services for community organizations, we strengthen their existing approaches to supporting children and youth by offering a range of professional development services.
SSP aims to help children and youth with ASD thrive by assisting with a child’s transition from treatment settings to full-time school and offering professional development services to school boards and community organizations.
