Terri Hewitt Named CEO of Surrey Place

June 11, 2020 by Surrey Place Staff

To our clients, families and community:

On behalf of the Board of Directors, I am pleased to announce the appointment of Terri Hewitt to the position of CEO for Surrey Place, effective immediately. Terri is a familiar face to many, through her long history of leadership at Surrey Place and her current position as Interim CEO.

Terri is a recognized leader in the developmental services and health sector. She has studied and worked to develop various systems, both internal clinical programs as well as sector-wide, and has demonstrated particular skill in bringing together collaborative partnerships in new ways to support service gaps.

Terri also brings 26 years of experience as a registered psychologist specializing in developmental, clinical and autism psychology and has a unique understanding of the complex and specialized needs of the individuals and families served at Surrey Place in all program areas.

“I am honoured and excited to step into this role,” said Terri. “I look forward to working with the Board, staff, and partners to continue to help people of all ages with developmental disabilities and autism spectrum disorder lead healthy and socially inclusive lives.”

On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Terri for her years of contribution and welcome her to her new leadership role with Surrey Place.

Helen Wojcinski
Chair, Board of Directors
